What are Google Search Console Recommendations?
Google Search Console Recommendations are an experimental feature designed to help website owners optimize their presence on Google Search. These recommendations provide actionable insights based on data from various Google Search systems, including indexing, crawling, and serving.
GSC Recommendations are Experimental
"Experimental" means you might not see it yet.
August 5th Google launched Search Console Recommendations, a new feature that surfaces optimization opportunities and actionable suggestions for your website to help you rank better in Google Search.
These recommendations are based on a lot of data from Google Search systems, including indexing, crawling and serving. This data was already available in Search Console, but now Google is making it easier by surfacing the recommendations directly. These insights will help you prioritize your SEO efforts, such as using structured data to improve content understanding, adding sitemaps, and exploring top queries and pages. The recommendations will be updated and may change or expire over time.
You’ll see these recommendations on the Search Console dashboard. Note this feature is still in beta so not all sites will have recommendations yet. Google will roll this out in the coming months and will only show recommendations for your site when applicable.
Torro's Opinion on GSC Recommendations:
We at Torro Media believe that Google’s new Search Console recommendations feature is a significant step forward in helping website owners optimize their search presence. By offering actionable insights directly within the Search Console, Google is making it easier for webmasters to understand and implement best practices without having to purchase 3rd party SEO tools. This aligns well with our philosophy of leveraging data-driven strategies to improve online visibility. We encourage all our clients to take advantage of these recommendations to stay ahead in the competitive digital landscape.
